Rapale International School is where we sent the books!! Here is a slideshow of pictures of the school land and people involved.

Here is a short video showing the plans for the school, which is currently being built.

Here are two quotes from one of the school visionaries.

“As far as demographic distribution…..there is a mixture of Zimbabwean, Dutch, American, Swaziland, and Mozambican children. We anticipate servicing the greater international community here which includes various other countries here in Africa (Nigeria, Congo, Kenyan, South African, etc.), along with the India (quite a large business segment of northern Mozambique), Brazilian and various other European countries (British, German, Norweigan). As you can see, this is one of the quite important reasons for such a school here in northern Mozambique. This area has become a magnet for the international community and an excellent English speaking school is something that is sorely needed.”

“In a short sentence, we hope to have a part in the wholistic transformation of Mozambique….starting with the north. There will be a mixture of Mozambicans and “foreigners” at this school. The Mozambicans who attend this school will most likely be from the middle to upper class. Most of those who are either in business, government, or some other professional capacity. It will be these students who will be the future leaders of Mozambique. Along with these Mozambicans there will be a number of “foreigners” who may actually be considering Mozambique their home as they have lived here longer than anywhere else. We anticipate them graduating and continuing on living God-honoring lives here in Mozambique in whatever sphere of influence they settle.”
